After breakfast we walked straight down the street to the Castello Sforzesco. It was built in the 15th century as a fortification and then later used as a castle. No pictures were allowed and it was a little difficult to find your way once inside. I really think we were the only Americans there, most Italian and a few British. Mostly 15th century Italian art, with a special statue by Michelangelo. It was his last piece that he had been working on for about ten years before his death. It was never completely finished. He died in 1564.
The Castle exit takes you straight into a park. We enjoyed the band that was playing and I recorded part of a song.
From the park there is a gate, looks like Brandenburg or the Arc de Triomphe. Here in Milan it is called the Arco della Pace or Arch of Peace. Dont make fun of our selfie. LOL
The picture above is the view from the Jazz Cafe where we had lunch. I had a chicken salad, fresh tomatoes, grilled chicken, fresh parmesan and avacados. Bryan had octopus, he said it was not as good as what he had in Portugal.
Next we took a long metro to the botanical gardens. It was worth what we paid for it. It was free. Walked through some very pretty streets though to get there, so not a total loss.
